Pilot FAQ
The questions every client asks.
Can you fly downtown Vancouver?
Yes. Downtown sits in controlled airspace, which requires an Advanced Operations certificate. We hold it, and we file the NAV CANADA authorization for you. Please allow 3 to 5 days for permit approval in controlled zones.
What happens if it rains?
We do not fly in rain or in winds above 30 km/h, for the safety of the aircraft and everyone below it. If the weather turns, we reschedule at no extra cost.
Is it safe to fly indoors and near people?
Yes. For interiors and crowds we use cinewhoop drones with fully enclosed prop guards. The propellers are caged, so the aircraft can fly close to people and product without risk.
Are you actually licensed and insured?
Every flight is flown under a Transport Canada Advanced certificate and covered by $5M in liability insurance. We are happy to send our certificate and proof of coverage before the shoot.
